    Police (K-9 Unit)

        Officer Johnny Brown & Officer Bla'zen ( A Belgian Malainios), are 2 of 8 officers in the Early Police department and the only Police K-9 unit of any Brown county City Police. Bla'zen is 3 years old and was trained at the Sunset K-9 Academy in Austin Bla'zen is the only Dual purpose dog on any force in Brown county (dual purpose- Apprehension-including tracking- & Narcotics) They have been a team since July of 07 and have many accomplishments to their credit so far. Officer Brown continually keeps his and Bla'zen's training up by attending the National Narcotics Detector Dog Association . R&S Industries, Inc. donated cash to help start the K-9 program and built the in car cage with diamond plate steel donated from Ratliff Steel Company of Brownwood.
